Environment

The Verdolino Program for Environmental Education is realized annually in five municipalities in the North of Minas Gerais: Bocaiuva, Buritizeiro, Capitao Enéas, Olhos D`Água and Varzea da Palma. Through this initiative, the Foundation seeks to raise the consciousness of students, educators, Rima employees and the general community about the importance of taking care of the environment, as well as to share knowledge and encourage the residents of these localities to acquire sustainable habits. The program is implemented with the participation of an environmental educator who provides technical information and accompanies the program through each stage. Activities include speeches, workshops, campaigns, scavenger hunts and many other actions to raise public awareness of humanity’s moral responsibility for the environment.
